Scene at home.
My wife speaking to daughter, "Are you cold?"
My daughter responds, "Yes."
A suggestion is given, "Why don't you go and put some socks on?"
The response that sends my wife into laughing hysterics with tears running down her face, "Don't worry, it's mating season and I'm feeling lucky."
What the heck?
Did she just say that?
How does a 4-year-old have a statement like that in her head?
Having kids is a source of fun and frustration. I pray the fun outweighs the frustration.
